Save the Child Campaign
The "Save the Child" campaign promoted by the Antonia Verna Rehabilitation Centre aims to raise awareness of
long-distance support as a means of providing concrete support to children with disabilities living in disadvantaged conditions
in Dar es Saalam.
For less than five euro a day you can ensure that a child can come to the Antonia Verna Rehabilitation Centre and support the necessary rehabilitation therapies.
What are you going to do?
The child you support has already a family, relatives or someone who cares for him or her.
But families often live in extremely disadvantaged economic conditions, such that they are unable to provide rehabilitative care, adequate nutrition or medication for their children with disabilities.
With your financial support you do not adopt the child, but you accompany his or her growth and support his or her rehabilitation. Also, with your support, we can buy weelchairs, braces, etc.
The accompaniment offered is not the same for everyone, but is personalized because it aims to respond to the different needs that field workers intercept through building and caring for a personal relationship with each child.
During the first meeting with the child, the medical staff present at the A. Verna Rehabilitation Centre implement a holistic assessment of his or her health status, making an individual plan tailored to his or her needs.

Moreover, the mothers of the children with disabilities receive help and support, they can be involved in the SABUNI project, but also they have the chance to learn about management and business.
Support a child from a distance
Each child is unique and therefore the intervention towards them is personalized.
Each child is followed by the operators of the A. Verna Rehabilitation Centre who try to understand his needs and provide for his necessities.
Not only that, this distance support project helps create positive changes for his or her family as well!
Our Proposals
With a €20 donation
every day, for a month, you can ensure a child, suffering from malnutrition, healthy and sufficient food composed of nutritional porridge and vitamins, necessary for his growth.
With a €50 donation
every day, for a month, you can ensure that a child with disabilities receives the necessary rehabilitation services to improve his quality of life.
With a €70 donation
every day, for one year, you can ensure that a child with epilepsy is given the medication to best treat this condition.
With a €100 donation
every day, for one month, you can ensure that more than 15 children with disabilities, who live far from the A. Verna centre, receive home visits in the suburbs of Dar es Salaam.
